Antivirus & Threat Detection

These days most operating systems, like Windows 11 or the newest iOS, have built-in antivirus software that protects your computer. You’ve probably also interacted with antivirus software like Norton Security or MacAfee before. Every antivirus software is different, but they all have the same basic objective: protecting your systems from viruses, malware, and a host of different threats.

Originally, antivirus was just that – against computer viruses. However, as malware, ransomware, and a host of other criminal activities have become more prevalent, antivirus software has adapted to protect against a slew of threats.

There are also threat detection programs that actively search out potential threats, identify weaknesses in your system’s security, and proactively patch those weaknesses to leave your systems more protected.

Antivirus and threat detection tools (more than your OS gives you) are part of our security baseline here at Sterling Ideas. We give you a complete suite of tools to protect your systems, and then we monitor those tools and look for problems. Don’t neglect any tool or resource that protects your data. Your company is worth every bit of a professional security team.
