Today, June 30th, 2021, Sterling Ideas Inc celebrates its 22nd company anniversary! To celebrate, the whole Sterling Ideas team spent a day exploring Tampa, competing in escape rooms (we escaped all 4 rooms!), boating down the river, and enjoying each other’s company.
We started our day off in true Sterling Ideas fashion, with a little competition. At our first escape room of the day, we split our team into two groups (our network techs and our operations team) and worked in our small groups to see which team could escape their room. Both teams escaped before the time ran out. One of our teams escaped a room that has a mere 17% success rate!
Next, we hit one of our favorite spots in Tampa–Armature Works. We ate lunch and listened as Charles told stories and recalled his favorite memories of the last 22 years, as Sterling Ideas has grown into the company it is today.
Team Building Activity – Escape Room Tampa
After a quick cup of coffee, we headed to our next stop: an escape room for the whole team. All seven employees crammed in a room, with an hour on the clock and an escape to make. We finished in about 35 minutes. It’s amazing what this team gets done when we’re working together! Because we finished the first room so quickly, we were able to do another escape room as a team. We broke the record for the fastest escape time yet.
After earning a spot on the leader board, we drove around Tampa, exploring new places and visiting old stand-bys. We saw the hustle and bustle of a busy city and the quiet pockets of little neighborhoods.
Next, we climbed into a little boat and spent some time on the Hillsborough River. It was beautiful and relaxing and the perfect way to end our day. (Charles may have found his calling in IT, but he makes a heck of a boat captain!)
Spending the day together as a team was a blessing and an exciting way to kick off year 23. We wouldn’t be where we are today without all of our clients and employees. We are so thankful for every person who has been a part of our journey thus far and are excited for our next chapter. Cheers to 22 years and many more to come!
